Triologie – Fashion Inspired by The Wizard of Oz

By KristySamone — November 14, 2012

Yesterday I posted on Singaporian designer MAX.TAN. Today my love for that country’s fashion continues, as I turn the spotlight on Triologie – a luxury relaxed wear fashion label “dedicated to happy, free-spirited and world savvy woman.” Launched by three friends in 2010, they say these clothes are for a woman who is a dreamer, traveller and trendsetter. Please – tell me more! Triologie’ newest collection is inspired by 1930’s silhouettes, with much attention on the waist and shoulders. Check out the calf-length collared dresses, appliques and interesting sleeves. Marlene Dietrich would be proud! More specifically, this Triologie line represents a series of looks all inspired by  “The Wizard of Oz,” which was originally released in 1939.  All five of the major characters are represented. The above pic is the “Dorothy” collection – a sweet mix of ginghams, cotton and lace. Directly below is “The Wicked Witch of the West” – notice the billowing skirts and sleeves with dramatic flair. The other pic depicts “The Cowardly Lion” with garments made with details such as fringe and faux leather in earth tones. I will post more pics (get ready for Toto) tomorrow!

About Author

I'm a media strategist, fashion fan and whimsical event planner. For years, I've been "reporting" from fashion shows and fabulous events to my loved one out of pure joy. Unbeknowest to me in February 2012 my sister started with photos and letters I'd sent her from New York Fashion Week. She said, "I think you need a blog!" LOL! I've been trying keep us with this and life ever since:) Thanks so much for reading!
