Happy Monday Fashion Femme Fatales and Gents! We’ve “sprung foward!” Yasss! I’m so happy the days are longer! For me it’s more time to balance work and fun (two different extremes). Speaking of juxtapositions, Tracey Reese’s fall 2014 collection was inspired by just that. For fall season, her garments will be a mix of loud versus quiet OR pragmatic versus complex. Tracey Reese’s collection consists of playful colors, neutrals and metallic. Check out menswear inspired pieces, oversized embroidered sweaters, lamé and heathered tweet knits, fringe detailing, plus gold and gunmetal beading. Oh and this line is filled with “self-expression” – which cam be seen via special details like feather, jewels, metallic leathers and ostrich trims.

MORE DEETS: Tracy Reese debuted Fall 2014 Collection at Center 548 in New York last month during Fashion Week. I was so excited when her publicist’s office (LaForce-Stevens) sent me these images. On Friday I’ll post pics from backstage and of celebrities in attendance (namely): Condola Rashad, Rhonda Ross, Denise Vasi, Lauren Scala, and June Ambrose. As you all know, I love penning this blog! It has simultaneously been my source of inspiration and pride for the past three years. In fact, over the past two weeks I’ve been interviewed, because of it. I will be taking this blog to a “Friday” only format with posts just at the end of the week. Thus, giving me something to look forward to. Hee! I’m working on a new project in addition to the blog. I can’t wait to tell you all about it! Once again, I appreciate all of your support. I’m beyond grateful. Have a beautiful start to the week (Tracey Reese is sure helping)!
Special Note: For the fall 2014 season, Tracy Reese partnered with Tide Pods and the CFDA’s Washable Fashion initiative, which seeks to inspire more designers to create garments using washable fabrics by designing two completely washable looks (an example is “Look 25” as shown on the runway pictured below)). Bye Loves! See you on Friday!
I'm a media strategist, fashion fan and whimsical event planner. For years, I've been "reporting" from fashion shows and fabulous events to my loved one out of pure joy. Unbeknowest to me in February 2012 my sister started kristysamone.com with photos and letters I'd sent her from New York Fashion Week. She said, "I think you need a blog!" LOL! I've been trying keep us with this and life ever since:) Thanks so much for reading!View all KristySamone posts.
