Happy Friday Fashion Femme Fatales! Shall we kick off the weekend with a bit of culture? One of my favorite Greek designers is Vassilios Kostetsos. His designs and staff are as sweet as pie (please come back to NYC Fashion Week!!). One of the sweethearts contacted me about Vassilios’ latest venture, the Hellenic Kilt. It is a modern version of the ”Foustanella,” which was a military skirt for Greek warriors. ”I LOVE TSOLIAS’,” as the collection is called, pays homage to the ancient garment while serves as a new way to support Greece. In addition, Vassilios took inspiration from his designs worn by the top supermodels of the 90’s (you know – Naomi, Linda, Christy, Karen, Carre, Claudia, Carla and my girl Kate Moss). Watch out for my throwback post tomorrow on those greats rocking Vassilios’ wares. I see men in skirts is becoming a staying trend! Kanye West and A$AP Rocky need to do a collabo with Vassilios.
I'm a media strategist, fashion fan and whimsical event planner. For years, I've been "reporting" from fashion shows and fabulous events to my loved one out of pure joy. Unbeknowest to me in February 2012 my sister started kristysamone.com with photos and letters I'd sent her from New York Fashion Week. She said, "I think you need a blog!" LOL! I've been trying keep us with this and life ever since:) Thanks so much for reading!
