The collar choker has always made a fierce statement. The exact date of when chokers became “in fashion” is debatable, but what we do know is that women during the French revolution wore a thin red ribbon around their necks to represent those who had been guillotined. In the middle of the Victorian era, women wore cameos. During the Edwardian period, dog collar chokers were all the rage. Made of pearls and other gems, this was made popular by trendsetter Princess Alexandria (wife of Prince Edward). Fast forward to 2012, and my boo Diamond rocks this collar choker hard!! To this very day – the collar choker makes you take notice! Oh…and I’m loving Diamond’s citrus outfit. She’s bringing a vibrant close to the last days of summer that can transition into fall.
Diamond wears: cropped denim leggings, white ribbed tank, long choker collar and citrus colored jacket all by BeBe. Patent leather shoes by Guess. White patent leather bag handbag by Louis Vuitton.
