Happy Friday Fashion Femme Fatales and Gents! I hope your week has been fantastic! I’m mostly excited about this weekend! As some of you may know, I launched an event planning business this past May (Pretty Parties and Fancy Favors LLC) and I’m thrilled to say my first wedding will be tomorrow at the National Harbor in Maryland. The National Harbor is a waterfront destination on the banks of the Potomac River. It’s quite gorgeous! Equally lovely, are the couple (Jinne and Khan) who are so much in love! One of my favorite parts of this planning process has been attending the gown fittings. She looked like a QUEEN! One of my favorite bridal gown designers is Pronovias. The company is celebrating its 50th anniversary of bridal colletions this year. Back in the 20’s, Pronovias store was the hot spot for high society brides in Barcelona, Spain to have their gowns made with quality silk, embroidery and lace fabrics. In 1964, the first dress collection was launched and in the early 2000’s collaborations with major designers such as Badgley Mischka, Emanuel Ungaro, Valention and Elie Saab began. The NYC store opened in 2008. Today brides worldwide have access to these luxurious and detailed bridal wares. Pronovias is now presenting its pre-2015 collections named Costura, Atelier, Dream, City , Glamour, and Fashion. Please check out a gown from each below in order of appearance: Costura collection: Baraza gown, Atelier collection: Kala gown, Dreams collection: Belia gown, City collection: Anise gown, Glamour collection: Bilma gown and Fashion collection: Belsy gown.
I'm a media strategist, fashion fan and whimsical event planner. For years, I've been "reporting" from fashion shows and fabulous events to my loved one out of pure joy. Unbeknowest to me in February 2012 my sister started kristysamone.com with photos and letters I'd sent her from New York Fashion Week. She said, "I think you need a blog!" LOL! I've been trying keep us with this and life ever since:) Thanks so much for reading!View all KristySamone posts.
