Abigail wearing a vintage dress after doing hair and makeup for a jewelry show

To say my bestie Abigail is talented would be an understatement! This girl can do it all: hair, makeup, styling, design, photography-you name it…she’s probably a master. Of Peruvian and Italian descent (studied fashion in Italy), much of her inspiration is derived from both cultures. Curious about what makes this fashion guru tick? Me too!

KS: How would your describe your style?

AD: I love anything that looks exotic and is one-of-a-kind. Big chunky earrings, bracelets, necklaces and rings made of feathers, wood from the amazon and semi-precious stones… not big on diamonds, but I do love gold especially from India, Peru and Indonesia. I tend to wear a lot of black with splashes of colors in every hue. My style is very feminine – I would say, dresses and skirt mostly. I was never a fan of jeans until later in life and can go from uber high heels to flats depending on where I am going. I have a pretty big collection of vintages dresses and separates, also vintage accessories including jewerly which I started collecting at the age of 13.

KS: What do you love most about working in the fashion industry?

AD: Every day is different and unexpected. I am able to create things on the spot if needed, it actually happens pretty often and that is truly fulfilling. Traveling working on projects is always the most fun.

Femme Fatale Fun Fact: Superwoman! Abigail did makeup for 35 models in three hours for a fashion show where Hillary Clinton (as First Lady) was the keynote speaker. The four other makeup artists were stuck in a snow storm!
