Happy Friday Femme Fatales and Gents! Oh…and Happy Valentine’s Day! Typically, my Valentine’s Day would fall during New York Fashion Week. I’d spend it attending fashion show and dining with wonderful friends. I never got too involved with the “couple aspect.” Folks seem to be saddened by the concept. My belief is to show loved ones that you care all year long. Most importantly – you gotta love yourself! However, a “national reminder” never hurts. Ha! This Valentine’s Day I had the honor of ushering it in with my hubby of four months…Ralph. I’m blessed to have such an amazing support system and kind spirit in my life. He is my (male) cheerleader! These are never posted photos from our engagement shoot a few months ago taken by the amazing Stephanie of Reese Studios. I pray that each and every one of you are enjoying a love-filled holiday whether it be with a significant other, family member, friend or pet (Sparta is my other Valentine – lol).
Femme Fatale Style: For the shoot , we decided on a “black tie” look to match the wedding style (hence Ralph’s 007 tuxedo- hee). I wore a lace skater dress with embellished Peter Pan collar, which was of sentimental value – my bridal shower outfit. I desired a hard and soft look, so I added leather riding gloves from Nordstrom.
Shoot Location: Old Town Alexandria, Virginia
I'm a media strategist, fashion fan and whimsical event planner. For years, I've been "reporting" from fashion shows and fabulous events to my loved one out of pure joy. Unbeknowest to me in February 2012 my sister started kristysamone.com with photos and letters I'd sent her from New York Fashion Week. She said, "I think you need a blog!" LOL! I've been trying keep us with this and life ever since:) Thanks so much for reading!View all KristySamone posts.
