Haypy Thursday Loves!
Last week I had the distinct honor of styling background décor accents for a bridal shoot that will be in the summer/fall edition of the Virginia Bride Magazine. I could not wait to sink my teeth into the theme – “Old Hollywood Glam.” I was invited to participate by wedding photography master Stephanie of Reese Studios. A wonderful team was gathered to pull together several looks (seven gowns with almost as many hair/makeup changes were shot) for a full 8 hour day. The time flew by – mostly because of the great fun. We shot at The Jefferson Hotel in Richmond, Virginia, which is known for luxury and opulence. The amazing backdrop made my job easy!
I was particularly fond of certain details. I topped the cake with stone flowers from Anthropologie. This tiny accent really made it stand out. I loved the white on white.
Just like “Old Hollywood” I desired the accents to be cclassic and beautiful. I paired a vintage china dessert plate from my collection with a grey linen napkin and vintage fork from Salt & Sundry. The etched goblet and marble coaster are from Anthropologie. The flowers are a mix of fresh and false – my little trick for great photos! The framed menu and invitation were designed with The Jefferson in mind by Jinne Ahmadzai – a talented graphic artist who always has the right touch.
I will definitely let you all know when this edition of Virginia Bride Magazine is hot of the presses, so you can view the full shoot. Yay!
