Hello again, my loves! How is today progressing? Are you ready to officially start this weekend? YASSSS, I am! Let me catch you up on a fascinating event that went down last Saturday. The New York LGBT community joined for an over the top and glamour-filled annual gala fund raiser called The Imperial Court of New York’s Night of a Thousand Gowns. The fab black tie dinner dance and coronation ball was held at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in Times Square. Headlined by actress/comedienne Sandra Bernhard (so sweet in person!) along with performers Martha Reeves from the Vandellas, singer Kelly King, 80’s girl group Exposé and the cast of Broadway’s “Pippin,” it was a celebration benefitting LGBT and AIDS service organizations raising millions of dollars! Shoutout to my dear photographer Tracey Goldsberry for capturing the moment!
I'm a media strategist, fashion fan and whimsical event planner. For years, I've been "reporting" from fashion shows and fabulous events to my loved one out of pure joy. Unbeknowest to me in February 2012 my sister started kristysamone.com with photos and letters I'd sent her from New York Fashion Week. She said, "I think you need a blog!" LOL! I've been trying keep us with this and life ever since:) Thanks so much for reading!View all KristySamone posts.
