Happy Monday Fashion Femme Fatales and Gents!
Let’s enjoy a bit of over abundance. The Monique Lhuillier fall/winter runway show (this past weekend) was all about that. In fact, the designer said more IS more this season. Taking inspiration from 60’s style icon Talitha Getty (whose romantic and carefree style is now known as “bohochic”), Lhuillier mixed beautiful textiles in unexpected ways. Take note of her extravagant gowns, outerwear, separates and accessories. I’m personally a fan of the styling – omg, the sparkly socks and heels!
Joining the fashion week revolution started by Rebecca Minkoff and her brother Uri, Lhuillier presented some items that can be purchased right off the runway! She’s calling it a “true ready-to-wear collection.”
There are so many breathtaking gorgeous options! Which is your favorite from her newest collection?
I’m a media strategist, fashion fan and whimsical event planner. For years, I’ve been “reporting” from fashion shows and fabulous events to my loved one out of pure joy. Unbeknowest to me in February 2012 my sister started kristysamone.com with photos and letters I’d sent her from New York Fashion Week. She said, “I think you need a blog!” LOL! I’ve been trying keep us with this and life ever since:) Thanks so much for reading!View all KristySamone posts.
