Happy Thursday and Happy New York Fashion Week Gents!!! One of my all-time favorite menswear designers is Michael Bastian. His collection never disappoints. Always a shout out to the “gentleman,” his designs remind me of the “good life.” Bastian showed his spring and summer 2014 menswear collection in Pierre Hotel’s ballroom yesterday. Bastian said his collection was influenced by French cinema of the 50’s and 60’s – a total nod to the French man’s style. Notice the mix of prints, textures and all of the fun including leopard spot camouflage and pineapple prints! He collaborated with Stubbs & Wootton for the shoes complete with cherries, parrot wings and pineapple designs! All of the hats were by Mr. Kim for Michael Bastian. Below is part of the collection. I will post the other half tomorrow. It’s New York Fashion Week! Let’s go!

I’m a media strategist, fashion fan and whimsical event planner. For years, I’ve been “reporting” from fashion shows and fabulous events to my loved one out of pure joy. Unbeknowest to me in February 2012 my sister started kristysamone.com with photos and letters I’d sent her from New York Fashion Week. She said, “I think you need a blog!” LOL! I’ve been trying keep us with this and life ever since:) Thanks so much for reading!View all KristySamone posts.
