Maison Martin Margiela Fall Couture 2014
Happy Friday Loves! I hope that you have an amazing weekend ahead of you. Speaking of amazing, let me share with you a little about the French high fashion label Maison Martin Margiela. MMM is beyond interesting! Its current design team works anonymously (the original designer barely showed his face) and the brand was founded on making old things new…basically, reconstructing vintage items into ready-to-wear garments. It’s like buying a long sleeved sweater from the consignment store and making it into a mini dress. However, this is on another level. Honey, there’s a brocade vest in this collection which dates back to 1910. A find at an auction, the guess it’s from an “Oriental Party” held by a leading French designer during the early 1900’s. Very cool! There are also items such as old coins and Japanese bomber jackets from the 1940’s repurposed into brand new clothing. I feel inspired! Check out the looks from MMM’s autumn fall 2014 collection. You know I’m all about the details. There’s something quite alluring about the sheer polka dot veils. What do you find most interesting?

Ps: Fashion heads are just finding out MMM’s lead designer is Matthieu Blaz (with talent like this it will be hard to keep him under wraps)

I've been trying keep us with this and life ever since:) Thanks so much for reading!
