As I continue my menswear series all this week, I recollect one of my huge highlights of last month’s New York Fashion Week. It was my introduction to Maison F. Born in 2011, Maison F has become the premiere French tie maker and male accessory house. Led by the artistic direction of the charming designer François-Régis Laporte, “F” (as it is affectionately called), focuses on ties, bow ties, lavalieres, pocket squares, dress handkerchiefs, and scarves for the well dressed gentleman. Interviewing François-Régis was as informative as it was fun! In the video you’ll see him showing my friends and I Maison F’s tool for folding pocket squares. We saw Maison F’s new collection at the Transatlantic NYC, a traveling showroom of luxury French collections, which was held at the Phyto Universe building. I’ll write more in depth on Transatlantic NYC (a fascinating concept) and Phyto Universe (I’m in L-O-V-E with those products) in the coming weeks. Tomorrow watch out for my article on Maison F’s collaboration with Bonpoint Boutiques! That collection is available now and quite magnifique! http://maisonf.com/

I'm a media strategist, fashion fan and whimsical event planner. For years, I've been "reporting" from fashion shows and fabulous events to my loved one out of pure joy. Unbeknowest to me in February 2012 my sister started kristysamone.com with photos and letters I'd sent her from New York Fashion Week. She said, "I think you need a blog!" LOL! I've been trying keep us with this and life ever since:) Thanks so much for reading!View all KristySamone posts.
