Happy Friday Fashion Femme Fatales and Gents! I’m excited to get the weekend started! I cannot believe that we are in the midst of “back to school” season. This year has been flying by! A few days ago, a kind coworker gifted me with a 2015 mini-calendar of nothing but fabulous footwear. I thought, “YES! A shoe calendar – now, that’s inspiration.” Around the same time, I got an email from one of my favorite fashion illustrators, Inslee By Design, saying her 2015 calendar was now available at a reduced price until September 1st. For the past three years of this blog’s life, I’ve written about her amazing calendars filled with stylish sketches. This year Inslee has outdone herself. Not only am I going crazy over the scenery and fashions worn by her “calendar girls,” but she’s collaborated with a renown New York City stationer. For the very first time Inslee has partnered with Dempsey & Carroll for “The Calendar.” She became very impressed with them after she commissioned them for the design of her wedding invitation(congrats Inslee)! This edition is a 5×7” desk calendar of 12 illustrated month pages and one illustrated cover page. Packaged in a handsome navy box, it’s printed on D&C’s exquisite 100% sustainable natural white cotton stock and paired with a clear acrylic stand. In addition, Inslee has chosen two of her favorite illustrations from past calendars to include as prints as a gift with the 2015 calendar. I’m about to order mine as soon as I finish this blog post – lol! Many of her “calendar girls” speak to me – the gals walking their dogs, the doll arranging flowers and notice the fashionista posing for photographers in September- Ah – a shout out to New York Fashion Week in the fall (which, my dears, is fast approaching and I’m starting to organize show invitations). Have a beautiful weekend!
I'm a media strategist, fashion fan and whimsical event planner. For years, I've been "reporting" from fashion shows and fabulous events to my loved one out of pure joy. Unbeknowest to me in February 2012 my sister started kristysamone.com with photos and letters I'd sent her from New York Fashion Week. She said, "I think you need a blog!" LOL! I've been trying keep us with this and life ever since:) Thanks so much for reading!View all KristySamone posts.
