I’m so excited about voting today! I cannot wait to execute my civic duty, express my voice and participate in a right that my ancestors fought to make possible! Also, expressing her voice – or should I say her meow – is Hello Kitty! She reps “The Friendship Party,” and is running for president! Ha! Who wouldn’t want to vote for her?:) I had the best time with dear friend and fellow blogger Stephanie Folling, of the DC Cupcake Critic, at the Hello Kitty Campaign Headquarters last Friday. It’s located at Living Social’s building at 918 F Street in Washington, DC with today, of course, being its last. Talk about too cute for words! The event was a -mazing!Shout out to Sanrio, Living Social and R. Rock Enterprises for a planned endeavour. Can you say “Kitty swag”! Sephora gifted attendees with bags including Hello Kitty nail stickers and polish – a nice touch. The floor set was a visual feast for the eyes complete with election merch and portraits of Hello Kitty alongside America’s forefathers (you know that kitty was running the show). Stephanie had a silhoutte of her face created with the signature hair bow, guests were made over with products from Hello Kitty’s MAC makeup line, the dj rocked the place and wine was served!
Last Saturday -even Biz Markie got into the mix…literally… as official dj of this event’s VIP party:)
What’s the best part? Sanrio says it will dontate 100% of the proceeds from the pop-up shop to the American Red Cross. I felt wonderful knowing my purchase was going towards those suffering from the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.
Check me out hugging my boo, “Tuxedosam,” who was voted as Hello Kitty’s running mate via FB. Apparently, I missed “Chococat!” Darn! I LOVE that character! Go to the Hello Kitty for President Facebook Page and view all of the election goods right here!

Unbeknowest to me in February 2012 my sister started kristysamone.com with photos and letters I'd sent her from New York Fashion Week. She said, "I think you need a blog!" LOL! I've been trying keep us with this and life ever since:) Thanks so much for reading!View all KristySamone posts.
