Happy Good Friday Femme Fatales! I wishing you all a wonderful weekend! As Easter approaches I immediately think of spring time fashion and accessories…especially head adornment. I’ve come across the most amazing site…Hatsnstuff.co.uk! This time nine years ago, new designers were asked to put together a small selection of cocktail fascinators for a local college fashion show. The pieces were a total hit and Hatsnstuff was born! Affordable and delivered worldwide, this site offers the most darling styles in every shade imaginable. I was compelled to do an interview with such creative innovators.
WHY DO WE LOVE FASCINATORS?
HNS: “Fascinators are extremely flattering and suit most women. They can be smart and formal as well as more frivolous so offer lots of scope when planning outfits. Also they do not give you hat hair. We think they are now a staple component of the millinery market and their appeal will only increase over time.”
WHAT IS THE BIG TREND RIGHT NOW?
HNS: “Hatinator is the new word for 2013. This is in between a fascinator and a hat and we think this move to bigger and more substantial pieces will be big in 2013. Hatinators include pillboxes and cocktail hats without brims. We also feel the free-form brims (like our Julia) are also going to be extremely popular especially for racing and mothers of the bride.”
I’M DEBATING BETWEEN A FASCINATOR AND A TRADITIONAL VEIL FOR MY WEDDING…WHAT STYLE DO YOU RECOMMEND?
HNS: “I love styles such as Emma – looks amazing on everyone and goes beautifully with so may styles of wedding dress. Lots of girls are opting for a vintage feel dress and these types of bridal fascinators match so seamlessly with this look. We have also made lots of bridal fascinators for brides to wear during their evening reception. They are having a more traditional veil for the church or ceremony but a fascinator on the night.”
