Happy Thursday Fashion Femme Fatales and Gents! The New York Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at the Lincoln Center is coming to a close, but don’t worry I’ve had enough show invites to keep you up to date on what’s next in fashion. Let’s start with The Fall/Winter 2015 Collection from GEORGINE, which was inspired by the Weimar Cabaret in 1920s/1930s Berlin combined with mod 1960s British designers. The color palette is derived from artist Richard Lindner’s work and the paintings of Otto Dix. Designer Georgine Ratelband, 25, a 2011 graduate of the Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan, has created such a funky collection of supple suede and leather, luxurious cashmere, elegant embroidery and whimsical celestial detailing. You know I adore anything whimsical. From the curly fros to the vivid colors, I’m all over this collection! Special shout out to my photographer Tracey Goldsberry and MAO Public Relations for the gorgeous images. www.GEORGINE.com
I'm a media strategist, fashion fan and whimsical event planner. For years, I've been "reporting" from fashion shows and fabulous events to my loved one out of pure joy. Unbeknowest to me in February 2012 my sister started kristysamone.com with photos and letters I'd sent her from New York Fashion Week. She said, "I think you need a blog!" LOL! I've been trying keep us with this and life ever since:) Thanks so much for reading!View all KristySamone posts.
