Happy Friday Fashion Femme Femme Fatales and Gents!
Rather should I say Happy New York Fashion Week…which has been renamed “New York Fashion Week: The Shows.”
To help kick off the start of the awesomeness, two mah-jor fashion “It” girls beamed at the opening of the Cri De Couer Disruptive Fashion Experience,e which goes on at until September 29th at 300 W 30th Street at 8th Avenue.
Arden Wohl, who first launched her footwear collection in 2013, showed her funky spring/summer 2016 collaboration with Cri De Couer; a luxury accessories brand that only sells ethically-produced wares.
Designer, Julie Dicterow, who cofounded Cri de Coeur (means a “passionate outcry”) with Parsons pal Gina Ferraraccio, gave us some food for thought, “This is veganism beyond the dinner plate.”
Inspired by the 60’s, Arden said her cruelty-free line is, “…a more practical collection,” adding that it’s less frilly than her previous work, “but still stylish and modern.”
She feels, “We feel you don’t have to wear something dead to feel alive.”
From the looks of this collection the shoes definitely will bring you life, honey! I’m loving all of the colors and patterns.
With everyone from Natalie Portman to Anne Hathaway making the switch to her vegan-friendly shoes, it won’t be long before the fashion masses follow suit.
Have a beautiful weekend and enjoy these photos that’d make a shoe addict relapse – hee! Shout out to my a-mazing photographer Tracey!

I'm a media strategist, fashion fan and whimsical event planner. For years, I've been "reporting" from fashion shows and fabulous events to my loved one out of pure joy. Unbeknowest to me in February 2012 my sister started kristysamone.com with photos and letters I'd sent her from New York Fashion Week. She said, "I think you need a blog!" LOL! I've been trying keep us with this and life ever since:) Thanks so much for reading!View all KristySamone posts.
