It had been a long day of runway watching on Sept 9th and the Emerson show was scheduled for a 9pm at the Lincoln Center. However, when I saw the collection by designer Jackie Fraser-Swan it was like noon all over again:) Jackie did her thing per usg…mixing rock with romance and sweetness with edge. Inspired by horror films such as “Carrie” and tv shows like “American Horror Story”, red was all over the runway… in a beautiful way (ha)! Seventies fashion was also part of the feel as seen in classic button downs, jersey tank dresses and the Emerson staple – sleeveless angle drape dress. Also, I loved the high socks with Kork-Ease sandals (the originators of the cork wedge sandal). I MUST get a pair!
Zahir Ziani for Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spas was responsible for the lovely braid hairstyle. The braid is going to major next season. I can’t wait to try the look. Also, Elizabeth Arden rocked out the nails. Take note of the makeup by Janell Geason for Aveda and the custom leather handbags/belts by Bracher Emden for Emerson (a British accessory line).

Unbeknowest to me in February 2012 my sister started kristysamone.com with photos and letters I'd sent her from New York Fashion Week. She said, "I think you need a blog!" LOL!
