“Dance, Dance, Dance!” During New York Fashion Week, I attended the premiere of the Dore Designs evening gown collection. These weren’t ordinary gowns nor was it an ordinary runway! Honey, it was a REAL show! See – these were evening gowns created by a top Ballroom Dance Couturier to the stars. The night kicked off with an high energy performance by Pasha Pashkov and Daniella Karagach dancing in Dore Designs (see video). I was beyond impressed with lead designer Dawn Smart, whose sweetness matched her talent. Dawn is in the third pic down standing with her models. I was delighted by intricate details such as sky high slits, long feathered trains, petticoat-like ruffles and most importantly – the Swarovski crystals! Swarovski was a sponsor, along with Snapple, Ecru New York, EngieStyle, makeup artist Nesreen Hamdan, Boutique Artists and Yellow Sky Agency. Speaking of the latter, thanks so much to PR guru Marcy Clark of Yellow Sky Agency for the impromptu invite. I’m with Marcy and Dawn in the very last pic at a prior event. Oh! Also cool – Dore Designs makes haute couture gowns specifically designed for each dancer’s body. Not just another pretty face, the garments are worn in competitions worldwide. Dore was a splendid cap off to New York Fashion Week!
