I’m in love with this vintage Persian lamb coat! It’s a gift from my dear friend Natalie who is an amazing journalist and mother. If memory serves me right – she bought this vintage find from a consignment shop in California and thought I would make a proper home for it. What an honor!! I’ve worn it for dressier occasions (like New York Fashion Week over a cocktail dress). However, I’m a big fan of the “casual luxury” trend. Basically, toning down really sparkly items (such as my pewter leggings and shoes) with a simpler look. I believe this is especially true for the holiday season with styling sequin blazers, leggings and statement jewelry. In fact, look out for today’s upcoming post on how to wear the “party blazer.”
Coat (vintage), White shirt(Asos.com), Pewter leggings (Arden B), Crossover leopard print chain bag (H&M), duster (gift), “Gunmetal” boots (Dirty Laundry), silver & gold ring (Blue Vanilla), brass ring (gift – thanks Jinne)
Side note: I’m not a fan of buying “new” fur. I’m totally a supporter of all things FAUX. However, I appreciate the tailoring, craftsmanship and styling of vintage apparel. This coat is truly one of my treasured items.
Check out: My mom’s boots are “the business!” I love them! Go MOM!

Unbeknowest to me in February 2012 my sister started kristysamone.com with photos and letters I'd sent her from New York Fashion Week. She said, "I think you need a blog!" LOL! I've been trying keep us with this and life ever since:) Thanks so much for reading!View all KristySamone posts.
