I’ve penned this blog for three years now and in three years I’ve remained apolitical. My goal is to have a blog that’s a source of style inspiration from designer collections, to vintage finds to party décor. I wanted this to be a departure from the negative aspects of living in this world. My focus is creativity and wonderment. However, the recent kidnapping of as many as 300 teenaged girls from their school in Nigeria on April 15th by the Boko Haram organization, made it crystal clear I need to post about this! As many of you know, a team of U.S. experts arrived in Nigeria today to help the government with rescuing this girls. The only shining light in this grim situation, is Nigerian negotiators believe the fact that Boko Haram threatened to sell the girls as slaves instead of straight up killing theming is a positive sign they are open to talks. We must stand up for our girls around this world! What can we do? Please check out the below suggestions. Even the smallest token of support adds to the bigger whole in a major way!
