Meet Raymond Croft. Photographer. Designer. This up and coming mogul of all things gorge, hails from NJ/NYC has a fresh perspective on what it means to be a gentleman and how to rock a bow tie.

KS: Describe your personal style…
My personal style is one that ranges from two different complete ends of the spectrum. One day you can find me in a starter snapback, some drop-crotch sweats and jordans, and another day you can find me in a casual blazer, cuffed khakis and some loafers. My style ranges from being casual to dressed up, it is something that is pretty much decided depending on the day I intend to have.
KS: What’s your wardrobe’s prize possession?
RC: Believe or not, some of my prize possessions would have to be a few of the vintage snapbacks I own, couldn’t live without them.
KS: What’s something every man should have in his wardrobe?
RC: Every man should have a tan, deep navy, and charcoal grey suit, as well as a pair of black and brown dress shoes.
KS: What’s something every man should know how to do?
RC: Should simply know how to tie a regular tie.

KS: Why is the bow tie such a timeless accessory?
A bow tie is such a timeless accessory because it instantly tops off any outfit with a vintage feel that always does your fit justice.
KS: What do you like about the style of the bow tie you’re wearing?
RC: I am a huge fan of plaid, so anything along those lines is perfect for me.

KS: What was the inspiration for starting Crew Love Apparel?
RC: A sailor’s Love for his duties, vessel, and Crew is unparalleled by anything in this world…. Except our passion for fashion & design. This is the origin of “Crew Love”. The wheel of the ship represents the voyage of life. The broken heart, the trials and tribulations throughout. Although broken, the heart remains at the center embodying the anchor of any one person’s voyage in life. Never about size, but about strength. Crew Love represents that strength.
KS: What’s your latest project? What can we expect in the near future for Crew Love Apparel?
Can’t give to much of that up right now, but lets just say that my photography and Crew Love Apparel is on its way to soaring to new heights very soon.

KS: Countess Mara’s motto is “Be A Gentleman” – what exactly does that mean to you?
RC: Being a gentleman in my book not only means to dress as a gentleman would,  clean cut and fit, it also means to present yourself also in that way,  simply in terms of professionalism and mannerisms.
Last but not least I asked Ray about his love of photography and favorite places to shoot: My favorite location would have to be some of the gritty warehouses and rooftops I have shot at, I prefer natural light over anything, there’s nothing like it. My most exciting shoot would have to be one of my last, managed to turn an abandoned warehouse into a timeless piece of beautiful architecture. Honestly, I love being able to capture any given moment of beauty on camera. There are moments in life that are beautiful that tend to come and go, however with a great photograph, that moment is now forever frozen in time.
Check out Ray’s a-mazing work!

Unbeknowest to me in February 2012 my sister started with photos and letters I'd sent her from New York Fashion Week. She said, "I think you need a blog!" LOL! I've been trying keep us with this and life ever since:) Thanks so much for reading!
