My highlight of the Vegas trip was visiting the Bettie Page store inside of Caesar’s Palace! It is a “must-see” for whenever I’m on the strip. Crystal Taylor, seen in the pics, was my most gracious hostess. I fell in love with her emerald hair and the boutique’s cool retro vibe! I adored the Bettie Page clothing designed by Tatyana Taty!
In case ya didn’t know: American icon Bettie Page was called the “Queen of Pinups” during the 50’s. Her jet black hair, blue eyes and trademark bangs have influenced fashion to this very day. Playboy founder Hugh Hefner said, “I think that she was a remarkable lady, an iconic figure in pop culture who influenced sexuality, taste in fashion, someone who had a tremendous impact on our society.”
I'm a media strategist, fashion fan and whimsical event planner. For years, I've been "reporting" from fashion shows and fabulous events to my loved one out of pure joy. Unbeknowest to me in February 2012 my sister started kristysamone.com with photos and letters I'd sent her from New York Fashion Week. She said, "I think you need a blog!" LOL! I've been trying keep us with this and life ever since:) Thanks so much for reading!View all KristySamone posts.
