I cannot believe Christmas has already come and gone! Yesterday I had an absolutely wonderful time with the family (see parents below) and Sparta! I decided to dress up my Annie Oakley-ish boots with “all gold everything” including the skirt and accessories. Speaking of gold, on Friday I received a special gift from fellow style blogger – The Flamboyante. An amazing fashion journalist, photographer, and model, I’ve been following The Flamboyante’s gorgeous blog all year and had the pleasure of winning her most recent contest. She shipped me (from her home in Vienna) a gold Andrea Garland Shelley Necklace, which is reminiscent of Shelley Hack in the “Charlie” perfume ads circa 1976. I was beyond excited! Andrea Garland takes traditional inspired jewelry and fills it with 100% natural lip balm. Each of her pieces has a secret compartment that opens up to reveal balm made from organic beeswax, shea butter, red rasberry seed oil, benzoin, grapefruit and lavender. OOH! Good stuff!
After Christmas brunch, I left the fam to pick up my fiancé Ralph from the airport. I changed out of the shiny gold skirt into my more comfortable but shiny in it’s own way orange jeans (THX LAVERNE!). We would end the night by decorating my little (but real) tabletop Christmas tree. Shout out to Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang! HA! Now, I begin Ralph’s tour of Virginia, District of Columbia and Maryland. Look out for more upcoming posts on restaurants and sights. Oh…and you can find Andrea Garland products at http://www.beautyhabit.com

I'm a media strategist, fashion fan and whimsical event planner. For years, I've been "reporting" from fashion shows and fabulous events to my loved one out of pure joy. Unbeknowest to me in February 2012 my sister started kristysamone.com with photos and letters I'd sent her from New York Fashion Week. She said, "I think you need a blog!" LOL! I've been trying keep us with this and life ever since:) Thanks so much for reading!View all KristySamone posts.
